With over 20 years' experience and a deep love for animals, I offer a caring and reliable service to ensure your pets are happy, comfortable, and well looked after while you're away.

With a lifelong love of animals, Jess is the heart behind My Cornish Pet Companion. Jess has been brought up on a farm and therefore been surrounded by animals her whole life. Jess loves all animals but has an affinity with dogs, highlighted through completing a sponsored Trek of The Great Wall of China and raising £3k for The Dogs Trust Charity.

Jess has previously worked for Hearing Dogs for Deaf People as a Dog Welfare Officer and at Woodside Animal Sanctuary. Jess has also completed extensive volunteer work with animals including with a Kennel Club Registered Dog Training Centre & Dog Breeder, Veterinary Practice, Animal Physiotherapist. Experiences which inspired her degree and further education specialising in Animal Care and Animal Science. Jess offers clients not just passion but deep professional expertise. Whether caring for cats, dogs or smallholdings, Jess provides reliable, compassionate support that prioritises each animal’s wellbeing, routine and comfort.

Jess offers a calm, in-home alternative to traditional kennels, understanding how important it is for pets to remain in familiar surroundings. For full house-sits and overnight stays, Jess tailors each service to meet the individual needs of the animals and their owners. She also offers dedicated pet chaperone services for weddings and funerals. Her clients value not only her knowledge and dependability but her genuine bond with animals and her commitment to delivering peace of mind while they’re away. Booking Policy
Please be aware that enquiries don’t secure dates. Only payment as per your quote and contract confirms and guarantees your booking. I’m unable to hold dates. In the past, I’ve had several people ask to hold dates or wait for confirmation, only to cancel later, leaving me with empty slots I could have filled for other clients.

Payment terms
Deposits secure your booking and are non-refundable after 24 hours from the time of payment, as dates are reserved exclusively for your pet. Bookings are taken on a first-come, first-served basis. A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required at the time of booking to secure the booking for your dates. This will be deducted from the final service fee. The remaining 50% of the total service fee is due no later than 48 hours before the start date of the pet-sitting service. Failure to pay means your booking will be cancelled and the deposit will be kept as compensation for the reservation.

While quoted prices are valid for 7 days, I reserve the right to accept another booking in the meantime if payment is not received to secure a booking. Thank you for your understanding, this is my livelihood, and I truly value every client who chooses to book with me.
